How this is figured. First application is 1½ oz (5%) per quart of oil in the system. Every treatment after that is 1 oz (3%) per quart. Limited-slip differentials and hydrostatic drives are treated at 1% and no more — they work on friction, and the standard rate is too much. A machine’s hydraulic system is not its hydrostatic drive: the pump, cylinders and loader arms take the standard rate, and that rate earns its keep in a loader working in extreme cold. If you are not sure which one you have, call us before you pour. Fortifiers are not recommended for automatic transmissions that require friction.
